Father Chad Partain holds a PhB from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Divinity from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. He was ordained in 2003 and serves as Pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Mansura, Louisiana.

Father Partain specialized in 19th century Louisiana church history and is currently writing the biography of Bishop Auguste Martin, first bishop of Natchitoches.  Since not much is know about Bishop Martin, research has been extensive over the past five years and Father Partain continues to edit the manuscript.

A 1994 graduate of Alexandria Senior High School, he developed an early love of history. His Eagle Scout project was the restoration of the stair case and grounds at Fort Buhlow. Noted for his love of Central Louisiana history, Father Partain has served on the Mayor’s Alexandria Bicentennial Committee for the past 3 years.

Father Partain is an avid reader and loves to paint in oils. His most recent exhibit was here in Alexandria at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
